The S32 is a standalone MIDI processor with 32 macro knobs, designed for complete control over hardware, software, and hybrid setups. It can also send out MIDI LFOs and effects to hardware that may lack internal modulation, and with the upcoming SHIK CV16 Module also fluidly address CV-based gear.
32 Macro Knobs
32 high-resolution knobs, each controlling up to 4 independent macros. Any parameter in MIDI effects, devices, or LFOs can be assigned and controlled as a macro.
Set custom ranges, invert directions, and assign individual channels per macro. Parameters can be assigned easily and directly on the device while playing live.
MIDI Processing Engine
A built-in, stackable chain of MIDI effects, generators, filters, and routers, including:
Harmonizer, Scale Remap, Arpeggiator, Turing Machine, Polyphonic Envelope, Euclidean Sequencer, Looper, Delay, Randomizer, Filters, Mergers, Routers and more.
Build generative sequences, lock your entire rig to a scale, add rhythmic delay to incoming notes, and transform simple MIDI into something far more complex.
LFO Modulation
Modulate any parameter with 16 LFOs. Chain and modulate LFOs together to create evolving, complex wave shapes that develop over time.
Animate CC outputs with LFOs and add movement to any piece of hardware, even gear with no internal modulation or CV options.
Blip Says
Turn your disjointed studio hardware into a single, deeply playable, hyper-expressive instrument ecosystem. Handcrafted by the innovation-obsessed engineering team at Shik Instruments, the S32 is a groundbreaking standalone MIDI processor and multi-macro hardware controller designed to orchestrate complex hybrid production rigs, hardware synth setups, and modular environments. It completely bypasses the static, flat feel of generic MIDI controllers by combining a massive array of premium physical controls with a high-octane internal software processing matrix—all without a computer screen in sight.

At the physical core of the S32 are 32 ultra-smooth, high-resolution metal-shaft potentiometers running at a full 14-bit MIDI resolution ($4,095$ steps of precision). But these aren't just single-destination knobs. Operating under a deep macro architecture, each individual knob can simultaneously command up to four separate MIDI parameters at once, completely across different channels, message types, and destinations. With a single twist, you can open a filter on a poly synth, lengthen decay on a sampler, increase feedback on a guitar pedal, and accelerate an internal modulation clock—all perfectly mapped with custom minimum/maximum ranges, signal inversions, and touch-free parameter pickup.
FAQs
FAQs
Q: Does the Shik S32 require a laptop or external software to configure its macro mappings?
A: No. The S32 is designed to be entirely standalone. You can run MIDI Learn, assemble complex effect chains, tweak LFO rates, and build out multi-destination macros directly on the unit using the 3.12" OLED screen, endless encoder, and tactile face buttons while your instruments are playing. If you do prefer a larger visual interface for studio prep, Shik provides a streamlined, AI-powered web editor application (Shik Vibe) that allows you to configure maps on your computer and push them straight to the unit.
Q: What is the main workflow advantage of the 14-bit MIDI resolution on the S32?
A: Standard MIDI controllers output at 7-bit resolution, which means they only offer 128 steps of movement from left to right. When modulating a sensitive parameter like a filter cutoff or an oscillator pitch, this can cause an audible, stepping artifact known as "zipper noise." By supporting full 14-bit resolution, the S32 outputs up to $4,095$ discrete micro-steps. This ensures your knob sweeps feel entirely fluid, indistinguishable from a true analog voltage curve.
Q: Can I use the S32 to modulate hardware gear that doesn't have internal LFOs or CV inputs?
A: Yes, this is one of the S32's greatest hidden strengths. The internal 16-LFO modulation engine allows you to assign internal LFO shapes straight to any outgoing MIDI CC message destination. If you have a vintage or modern synthesizer that lacks automated patch modulation, you can route an S32 LFO to target its filter CC via standard MIDI cables, instantly animating a static machine without modifying its internal circuitry.
Q: How does the S32 connect to analog Eurorack modular equipment?
A: While the base S32 model handles purely digital data over USB and TRS MIDI, it features a high-bandwidth Micro-HDMI port on its rear panel. This port is engineered to interface directly with the optional Shik CV16 Eurorack Expander module (sold separately). When connected via HDMI, the S32's internal macro sweeps, generative sequencers, and cross-modulating LFOs are instantly converted into 16 channels of ultra-smooth 16-bit analog Control Voltage (CV) and Gates to drive your modular modules directly.
