Q: How do the six interactive sensors work, and how are they mapped?
A: The HUM 2 features six onboard sensors: an optical distance sensor (0–40 cm range), an ambient light sensor, dual-axis X/Y tilt gyros, and two capacitive touch pads. To map any sensor, simply hold its dedicated sensor button and slightly turn the knob you want to modulate. Turning clockwise assigns positive modulation, while counter-clockwise assigns negative modulation. You can adjust depth using the Range knob, calibrate your zero point at any angle with the "SET 0" button, or double-tap to clear mappings.

Q: Can the three voices run completely different synthesis models and sequencers?
A: Yes. All three voices (V1, V2, V3) are completely independent. Each voice can have its own synthesis model (e.g. Voice 1 on Karplus-Strong string pluck, Voice 2 on 3-Op FM bass, and Voice 3 on a morphing wavetable pad), independent loop lengths (1–64 steps), individual rhythmic densities, stereo panning positions, and dedicated effect send levels.

Q: Does the HUM 2 integrate with Eurorack modular synthesizers?
A: Absolutely. The rear panel provides three assignable CV outputs (0–5V range) that can transmit note pitches, sequencer triggers, sensor modulation, or LFO voltages to your modular rig. It also features an assignable CV input (0–10V tolerant) and a multi-purpose Sync In / CV 2 input, plus a dedicated Sync Out jack with customizable PPQN clock resolutions (1 to 24 PPQN).

Q: Does the USB-C connection support direct computer recording?
A: Yes. In addition to powering the device (using standard 5V USB-C power requiring only 200 mA), the HUM 2 streams class-compliant 2-channel stereo audio and bi-directional MIDI directly over the USB-C cable to your DAW or computer without needing proprietary drivers.

Q: What is the "Panel" button used for?
A: When you load any of the 500 saved presets, the physical knob positions will naturally differ from the stored sound parameters. Hitting the "PANEL" button instantly bypasses the preset values and snaps the sound engine to reflect the physical positions of all knobs and switches—perfect for live improvisation and starting fresh sound design patches.
