AllFlesh turns your body into patch cables, allowing you to interact with your modular system, by touching two or more points, yielding new results and sounds not possible without the subtleties of human touch and gestural expression. You transfer modulation, sequences from oscillator to oscillator, and triggers from voice to voice. You bend pitches with finger pressure. Your fingers are multiples and provide attenuation. Each kit includes 10 AllFlesh touch points.
What it can do
- use your body as a patch cable to span two points
- increase your connection with and reaction to the audio and CV from modular systems
- expressive finger pressure changes (variable attenuation)
- responsive to different individual skin conductivity
- DIY version can be a helpful starting point for beginners to learn soldering

How to use it
-
DIY BUILDERS: For the DIY kit, you will need solder, a soldering iron, clippers, a file and basic soldering experience. Follow the directions in the manual.
-
PLUG IN: Change angle of orientation for ergonomic considerations, and proximity to surrounding jacks and knobs. Can be plugged in to the top of a stackable cable as well.
-
PATCH: Use fingers (or other body parts, or patch cable points) to touch at least one input to one output (or multiple points) within a patch. Your body will cause a certain amount of resistance between points, and the amount of skin in contact with any point will alter the amount of attenuation. Further instability can occur from radio frequency interference introduced by your body acting as an antenna. More skin surface equals less attenuation.
-
TWO HANDS: Touch patching with one hand offers less attenuation than patching between two hands.
-
MULTIPLAYER PATCHING: Touch your hand to an input or output. Have your friend (or chain of friends) touch another input or output. Touch or clap your hands to each other, closing the circuit.
FAQs
FAQs
Q: Will passing modular synthesizer voltages through my skin shock me or hurt?
A: No, it is completely safe and imperceptible. Eurorack modular signals operate on very low voltages (typically ranging from -5V to +10V) and ultra-low currents. While your body becomes the conduit to bridge these signals, the underlying micro-currents are entirely below the threshold of human sensation. You will feel the physical texture of the smooth gold plates, but you won't feel any electrical current.
Q: Do I have to keep my patching restricted to just one hand?
A: No, you can use any combination of contact points. However, the physical distance the signal travels through your body dictates the level of signal attenuation. Bridging two AllFlesh points using two fingers on the same hand creates a shorter path with less resistance, resulting in a stronger signal transfer. Bridging points between both hands forces the voltage across your arms and chest, introducing higher resistance and more dramatic attenuation. You can even link hands with a friend to create a multiplayer touch-patch chain!
Q: Can I plug these into my stackable patch cables?
A: Yes, absolutely. AllFlesh pins are built with standard 3.5mm mono connectors, allowing them to seat perfectly inside the top pass-through jack of stackable cables (like Tiptop Audio Stackcables). This allows you to combine traditional hard-wired patch networks with tactile, touch-interrupted performance points anywhere in your signal chain.
Q: How do I clean and maintain the gold surfaces on the AllFlesh plugs?
A: Over time, natural oils and moisture from your fingertips can build up on the touch pads, which might alter their baseline electrical conductivity. To clean them, simply unplug the units from your modular gear. Wipe the immersion-gold surfaces gently with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. For a deeper clean to strip away fingerprints, use a tiny amount of high-purity isopropyl rubbing alcohol on a lint-free pad and let them dry fully before plugging them back in.
