Q: Do I need a computer to set it up?
A: No. It is a standalone device. You only need a computer or phone if you want to update the firmware or configure advanced MIDI groups via the free WIDI App.

Q: Will it power my MIDI controller?
A: Yes. If you provide 5V power to the second USB-C port, the Uhost can pass through up to 500mA to power your controller, making it a truly mobile wireless solution.

Q: How is this different from the WIDI Bud Pro?
A: The Bud Pro is designed primarily as a dongle for computers. The Uhost is more versatile because it can act as a USB Host for hardware controllers, which the Bud Pro cannot do.
