Animal Factory Coma Reactor II is an unashamedly gritty, lo-fi textural delay module inspired by the crunchy, character-packed delay circuits of vintage budget mixers. Built around the beloved PT2399 digital delay chip, Coma Reactor II expands on the architecture with an integrated resonant bandpass filter, external effects feedback loop, and full CV modulation.

Coma Reactor II gives you independent level controls for Clean, Delayed, and Filter-processed signals. When the Send/Return jacks are unpatched, the delay repeats pass through a dedicated resonant bandpass filter with Frequency and Q controls—pushing the filter into wild self-oscillation for apocalyptic soundscapes and industrial textures.

With voltage control over Delay Time and Filter Frequency, you can easily create tape-warble chorusing, seasick pitch-bends, or rhythmic clock-synced time dilation. When no input is patched, the module acts as a completely autonomous drone and noise generator.

A: No, and proudly so! Coma Reactor II is specifically tuned for grit, analog warmth, clock noise at long delay times, and aggressive feedback textures.

Q: What can I patch into the Send/Return jacks?
A: Anything you like! Patch an external analog filter, distortion, pitch-shifter, or spring reverb into the feedback loop so every successive delay repeat gets progressively more affected.
