Animal Factory Bonesaw is a characterful, aggressive 6dB state-variable filter (SVF) module engineered to cut through audio signals with surgical, uninhibited grit. Offering simultaneous individual Lowpass, Bandpass, and Highpass outputs alongside an integrated input drive circuit, Bonesaw transforms clean oscillator signals into screaming, resonant textures.

Unlike clinical filters, Bonesaw features an integrated pre-filter drive stage that fattens incoming signals before hitting the core. Furthermore, an FM Feedback circuit with phase control allows you to route the bandpass output back into the frequency modulation input, dialling in rasping edge, complex overtones, or downright feral squeals.

When pushed into maximum resonance, Bonesaw cleanly self-oscillates as a pure sine wave oscillator. Using the included rear expansion cable, Bonesaw connects directly to the Animal Factory Vivisect mixer module to form an ultra-flexible 3-band pole-mixing EQ filter system.

Q: Can Bonesaw be used as an oscillator?
A: Yes! When resonance is cranked, Bonesaw enters smooth self-oscillation. Modulating the Cutoff with V/Oct or an LFO turns it into an expressive analog sine/complex FM voice.

Q: How does the Vivisect expansion link work?
A: Bonesaw includes a rear ribbon cable that connects to the Vivisect attenuverting mixer. This automatically routes the LP, BP, and HP outputs into Vivisect's channels for custom pole-mixing and multi-band frequency sculpting.
