The Twisted Electrons MEGAfm MKII is a raw, glorious beast of a synth powered by dual vintage Yamaha chips. If you want pristine digital sounds, look elsewhere—this is gritty, industrial, lo-fi FM magic with 32 physical faders for knob-per-function tactile sound design. Banish thin sounds and embrace massive digital warmth.

Just like the original edition, the Twisted Electrons Mega FM MK2 synthesizer is a hefty chunk of nostalgia. Instead of YM2612-chips, this second-gen version comes loaded with YM3438-chips, which are almost identical but sound just that little bit better. What's also changed is the internal circuit board, which now has sockets for the FM chips, meaning both FM chips can be swapped out for different models at will - maybe for a more modern flavour or to switch back to the old YM2612 chip. Other than the chips, you're looking at pretty much the same geek-friendly, retro-sound and layout.
