Designed to create thick bass without losing sub-rumble, drive leads, smear pads, or give lo-fi chords a crackle. Warp the core oscillator before it hits the shaper to move from a warm push to full-on destruction in just a few controls.

PERC™

A superpowered drum synthesis engine with a wide range of drum sounds, from classic 808s and 909s to glitchy zaps and experimental textures. Each kit contains kick, snare, open and closed hi-hats, cymbal and perc drums with deep customization options for each sound. Five drum hits can be triggered from a single synth engine voice.

Q: What is the main difference between the original Play and the Play+? A: The Play+ features an upgraded processor that allows for stereo sample playback, internal synthesizer engines, and the ability to send 14 separate stereo tracks to your DAW over a single USB-C cable.

Q: Can I use the synth engines and MIDI at the same time? A: Yes. You have 8 dedicated sample tracks and 8 "flexible" tracks that can be used for the internal synth engines or to sequence external MIDI gear.

Q: Does the Play+ have a built-in battery? A: No, but it is bus-powered via USB-C, meaning it can run for hours off a standard portable power bank, making it highly portable.

Q: How do the "Synth Engines" work? A: There are 6 distinct engines (like the 303-style ACD or the FM-based WTFM). You can choose an engine for a track, browse presets, and use the 15 touch-capacitive knobs to tweak parameters in real-time or sequence them per-step.

Q: Is it compatible with the original Play projects? A: Absolutely. Play+ is backward compatible, so you can load your old Play projects and they will sound exactly the same—but now you can add synths and stereo samples to them!
