Innovative Analog Technology

Taiga is a complete, modern, modular instrument that allows us to explore beyond the boundaries of a traditional analog synthesizer. The sound of Taiga can be attributed to three uniquely Pittsburgh innovations. A trio of huge analog oscillators, the unmistakably smooth sound of the Pittsburgh Filter, and the warmth of our Dynamics Controller. These enable us to not only create sounds that we would traditionally expect from an analog monosynth, but to also explore new sonic textures and performance possibilities.

The Pittsburgh Modular Taiga Keyboard is a complete 37-key paraphonic analog synthesizer workstation featuring a premium keyboard action, three rich analog oscillators, and an integrated powered 24HP Eurorack expansion bay built directly into the chassis.

Driven by three custom 100% analog Pittsburgh oscillators with individual wavefolders and cascaded wave-shaping, Taiga Keyboard delivers massive basslines, soaring leads, and rich three-note paraphonic chords. The sound is sculpted by the signature "PGH" multimode filter—which retains low-end punch even at self-oscillation—and Pittsburgh’s organic Dynamics Section for realistic percussive attack and natural acoustic ring.

Featuring a 37-note full-size velocity-sensitive keybed with channel aftertouch, pitch/mod wheels, an onboard 64-step sequencer, and an arpeggiator, Taiga Keyboard is built for expressive live performance.

The innovative 24HP powered Eurorack expansion bay allows sound designers to drop their favorite Eurorack modules directly into the keyboard's front panel, while the 64-point patch matrix provides complete semi-modular routing.
