Taiga is a complete, modern, modular instrument that allows us to explore beyond the boundaries of a traditional analog synthesizer. The sound of Taiga can be attributed to three uniquely Pittsburgh innovations. A trio of huge analog oscillators, the unmistakably smooth sound of the Pittsburgh Filter, and the warmth of our Dynamics Controller. These enable us to not only create sounds that we would traditionally expect from an analog monosynth, but to also explore new sonic textures and performance possibilities.

The Pittsburgh Modular Taiga Desktop is an ultra-powerful, semi-modular complete analog synthesizer voice packed with three complex oscillators, organic wavefolding, and lush bucket-brigade delay in a compact desktop enclosure.

Designed without compromises, Taiga features three 100% discrete analog oscillators—each equipped with its own dedicated wavefolder and cascading waveshaper—delivering massive acoustic-like complexity and raw sub-bass power. The sound passes through the signature "PGH" state-variable filter and Pittsburgh's proprietary Dynamics Section, which mimics the natural transient pluck and resonance of acoustic instruments.

With its 60-point Eurorack patchbay, Taiga can be played completely pre-patched without cables via standard 5-pin MIDI or patched into complex experimental configurations. It also features the built-in "Echoes" analog BBD delay for expansive space and warmth.

Taiga can be used as a standalone desktop powerhouse with its included steel case and power supply, or unmounted to fit as a 60HP module into any standard Eurorack system.
