Blip Says:
We recently had the opportunity to test out the Bree6 at Superbooth 2026. The sound was rich and warm and expressive. We instantly asked GS Music if we could offer their synthesizers in our store. Thankfully they agreed - We think you will love them too.

Desktop Version
The Bree6 is a polyphonic analog synthesizer that features a fully analog sound generation. It offers six voices of polyphony, each equipped with a single voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), and a sub oscillator. The signal path includes a mixer, a 4-pole low-pass voltage-controlled ladder filter (VCF), and a voltage-controlled amplifier (VCA). The control signals are digitally generated, incorporating one low-frequency oscillator (LFO) and two ADSR-type envelope generators. Additionally, the Bree6 integrates an effects processor with chorus and delay.
Keyboard Version
The Bree6 Keyboard is built to deliver an intuitive and expressive analog experience, combining a robust architecture with a carefully crafted user interface that invites exploration and creativity. Built upon a six-voice analog architecture, the Bree6 Keyboard delivers a powerful and expressive sound engine, capable of producing a wide range of textures, from solid basses and articulate leads to rich, evolving pads. Its carefully designed signal path, combined with an intuitive interface and a high-quality keyboard with velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, provides a direct and immersive playing experience.
Expanding beyond the desktop version, the Bree6 Keyboard incorporates an advanced arpeggiator and a built-in sequencer, significantly enhancing its creative capabilities. The arpeggiator features multiple layers of operation, allowing for complex rhythmic patterns and evolving sequences, while the sequencer enables users to capture and develop musical ideas directly from the instrument, making the Bree6 Keyboard a complete performance and composition tool.
Every aspect of the instrument has been developed with careful attention to detail, combining a refined aesthetic with a robust and purposeful construction. The Bree6 Keyboard features an all-metal build complemented by natural cedar wood side panels, and is hand-assembled to ensure quality and consistency in every unit.
It incorporates a semi-weighted keybed with velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, along with pitch bend and modulation wheels engineered in-house to provide precise, reliable, and expressive control.
Immediate Control. No Menu Diving.
The Bree6 Keyboard version is designed to deliver an immediate and intuitive hands-on experience, eliminating the need for deep menu navigation. Its interface follows a one-knob-per-function philosophy, providing direct access to all key parameters for fast and precise sound shaping.
Expressive control is at the core of the instrument. Velocity can be assigned to modulate both the filter and amplifier response, allowing dynamic tonal variation based on playing intensity. The modulation wheel provides real-time control over LFO modulation depth, targeting the oscillator pitch and/or the filter cutoff for expressive performance.
The instrument features a semi-weighted keybed with velocity and aftertouch sensitivity, ensuring a responsive and musical playing experience. It also includes dedicated inputs for sustain and expression pedals, with the expression pedal offering configurable assignment and adjustable response range for flexible control.
In addition to its performance capabilities, the Bree6 Keyboard integrates essential connectivity options, including MIDI, USB, balanced stereo outputs, headphone output, and external control inputs, making it equally suited for both studio production and live environments.
Both Versions
Signal Path
The signal path in the Bree6 is entirely analog, including a single VCO per voice, a sub oscillator, a mixer, a 4-pole low-pass ladder VCF, and a VCA. The control voltages are digitally generated, comprising one LFO and two ADSR-type envelope generators. It also features a stereo digital effects processor with Delay and Chorus.
Oscillator
The Bree6 features a single VCO plus a sub oscillator per voice. The oscillator includes sawtooth and pulse waveforms, with pulse width modulation control that can be modulated by the LFO. The oscillator tuning can be adjusted, and modulation can be applied from the LFO. The sub oscillator generates a square wave one octave below the main oscillator.
Filter
The Bree6’s filter is a 4-pole ladder-type low-pass filter with resonance control. It can be modulated by EG1, with velocity affecting the modulation depth, and can also be modulated by the LFO. It can also be controlled by the modulation wheel and aftertouch.
Chorus and Delay
The synthesizer offers a stereo ensemble type chorus effect. It simulates a string or vocal ensemble using multiple delay lines modulated by their dedicated LFOs.
The stereo delay can reach a maximum delay time of up to 1 second.
LFO
The Bree6 contains one LFO with selectable waveforms (triangle, ramp up, ramp down, square, and random with sample and hold). The LFO’s frequency can be set from 0.1Hz to 100Hz, and modulation can be applied to the VCO, VCF, and VCA.
Envelope Generators
There are two ADSR-type envelope generators in the Bree6, designed for precise control over the dynamics of both the filter and the amplifier.
MIDI Polyphonic Expression
The synthesizer supports MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE), facilitating detailed performance dynamics when used with compatible MPE controllers. The Bree6 has been carefully tested with Osmose, Linnstrument and Geoshred.
FAQs
FAQs
Q: What makes the GS Music Bree6 different from mass-produced polyphonic analogue synths?
A: The Bree6 is a boutique instrument designed and built in small batches in Argentina. Unlike mass-market hybrids that utilize generic digital oscillators or integrated chips (chips-on-board), the Bree6 features discrete, authentic Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) and filters. This gives the synthesiser an incredibly organic, slightly unpredictable vintage character, providing the distinct harmonic depth, punchy transients, and lush instability that purists love about classic analogue gear.
Q: Does the Bree6 feature preset memory, or do I have to patch from scratch every time?
A: Despite having a 100% analogue signal path, the Bree6 includes a smart digital control layer. This allows you to store, name, and recall up to 128 custom user presets instantly on the device. Furthermore, every single parameter on the front panel transmits and receives MIDI CC data, meaning you can fully automate knob twists directly from your computer DAW sequencer.
Q: Can the Bree6 play in monophonic or unison modes?
A: Yes, absolutely. While it is inherently a 6-voice polyphonic powerhouse perfect for complex chords and sprawling pads, you can easily configure the voice modes via the global menu. Switching it to Unison mode stacks all 12 VCOs onto a single note with variable detune amounts, creating earth-shaking, ultra-wide basslines and massive, saturated lead patches.
Q: Are the internal effects digital or analogue?
A: The main synthesis engine (oscillators, mixer, filter, and amplifier) is 100% discrete analogue. However, to give the synthesiser modern studio versatility without requiring external guitar pedals, GS Music added a premium high-resolution digital stereo chorus and delay processor at the absolute end of the audio line. This ensures your dry analogue signal path maintains its raw integrity while gaining incredible spatial dimension and stereo width.
