The ability to record audio via the built-in microphone or line input makes it easy to capture ideas on the spot. You can also import your own samples and organise them across multiple banks, allowing you to build a personalised library that suits your workflow and musical style.

Create patterns your way

Programming beats is straightforward thanks to the hands-on sequencer. You can enter steps manually or tap them in live, depending on how you prefer to work. Patterns can run up to 64 steps, giving you room to develop more detailed rhythms.

Functions like per-step probability, ratchets and microtiming help break away from rigid loops, adding variation and groove. Parameter locks let you adjust sound settings on individual steps, so each hit can feel slightly different. This makes it easier to build dynamic patterns that keep listeners engaged.

Integrate with your full setup

The Bullfrog Drums is designed to sit comfortably within a wider rig. MIDI in and out allow you to sync with other hardware or software, while the CV/Gate outputs let you control external synths or modular systems using precise voltage signals. This opens up opportunities to sequence basslines or melodic parts alongside your drum patterns. With stereo outputs and headphone monitoring, it also fits neatly into studio and live environments, giving you clear audio routing without extra complexity.
