A: No, the internal VCA is hardwired directly to the output of the filter circuitry to act as an all-in-one final voice controller. When no cable is plugged into the Level CV jack, the VCA rests completely wide open, letting the filter pass audio normally. The second you patch an envelope or gate cable into the Level CV input, the VCA clamps down, routing your audio exclusively through the volume parameters mapped by your external modulation source.
